Get Connected, Get Involved.

Connecting

At Islington Baptist Church we want to be a community that is gathering regularly in devotion to God and one another as we learn to follow Jesus together. Our hope is that you will feel welcome and at home at Islington Baptist and that we will help you know and experience the love of God in Jesus Christ through our fellowship together.

One simple way to connect with our community is to fill out a Contact Form if you haven't already. You can provide some basic contact details, sign up for the weekly church newsletter email and let us know how we can help you connect and grow.

A key way we get to know each other and care for each other is by meeting together in Growth Groups – a small group of people committed to helping each other follow Jesus. Groups meet together regularly to encourage each other in personal discipleship of Jesus through sharing, Bible study and prayer, but it extends beyond this into other less structured social connections, practical and pastoral support, prayer and communication.

Bible Talks

Hear our latest Bible talks and join us in thinking about what God is saying to us and what that means for how we think, feel and act today.

Safe Church

Prayer

Join us as we depend on God in prayer together. You can download the latest monthly prayer guide below and printed copies are available at Church on Sunday. You could put it in your Bible and use it as a guide for your own prayer time or use it to pray with another person or small group on Sunday or perhaps as you meet with your Growth Group during the week.

Do you need prayer or want to chat to a pastor about something? Get in touch and we will get back to you.

Become a Member

Members meetings are held quarterly to discuss and vote on matters relating to the direction and activities of the church. Church membership is required in order to vote, as outlined by our constitution. See below for our Membership Application Form (including our Statement of Beliefs) and our Constitution. For membership enquiries, please contact our secretary.

Giving

Participating in God's mission to see all people know his love happens in a multitude of ways. One of those is through financial giving to the local church and global mission.

Your giving at Islington Baptist means lives being changed by Jesus as we use the resources entrusted to us to share the good news of God's grace.

We seek to be transparent and clear about finances and how you can participate with us through financial giving. We desire to be generous as a church in joyous response to all that God has done for us. Our budget includes support for local and global mission and care organisations, as well as pastorally caring for and sharing with those in our own fellowship.

How to Give

You can give through a once-off or ongoing direct deposit to the church bank account (at your bank branch or online) or by credit card. For regular giving it is preferred to use direct deposit to save on credit card processing fees.
